SUMMARY

FROM THE QPAC STAGE TO THE SCREEN

When Queen Forever brought its Greatest Hits Tour to QPAC, Inverse captured the show and produced a highlights reel in post-production. The job carried the performance beyond the theatre, turning a live night on stage into a piece audiences could watch on screen.

Show capture and a highlights reel serve different purposes. The capture records the performance as it unfolds. The highlights edit draws from that material to give viewers a shorter introduction to the show and a sense of its energy.

‍

SHOOTING WITH THE EDIT IN MIND

We handled both filming and post-production, so the finished reel was part of the thinking from the outset. The shoot needed to provide material that would work together in an edit, as well as capture what was happening on stage.

That connection matters on a live show. The performance keeps moving, and the moments the edit needs have to be caught when they happen. Thinking ahead to the finished piece gave the capture a clear purpose.

‍

FINDING THE SHOW IN THE FOOTAGE

In post-production, the task shifted from recording the performance to shaping the highlights. A shorter reel needs its own pace: enough room for a moment to land, then a reason to move to the next.

Keeping the edit with Inverse meant the team working with the footage understood the show it came from. The project stayed connected from the QPAC capture through to the finished reel.
