Privacy Policy
Inverse Imaging produces video, broadcasts live events and hires out our studio at 1/37 Davey Street, Moorooka. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit our website, enquire with us or work with us, and what we do with it. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
1. What we collect
When you enquire or book with us, we collect the details you give us. That is usually your name, email address, phone number, company, the type of project you have in mind and anything you write in your message.
When you become a client, we also keep the information we need to quote, invoice and deliver the work, such as billing details, project briefs, call sheets and our emails with you.
When you use our website, we collect information about your visit. This includes the pages you view, the device and browser you use, your approximate location, and how you found us, for example a Google search, a Google ad or a link from another site.
2. How we collect it
Most of it comes straight from you, through our website forms, by email, over the phone or in person at the studio. Some comes from the people you work with, for example when a colleague books a shoot and gives us your details as the contact on the day. Website information is collected automatically by the tools described in section 5.
3. Why we use it
We use your information to reply to your enquiry, prepare quotes, plan and deliver your project, manage studio bookings, send invoices and keep our records. We also use it to understand which pages and ads bring people to us, so we can improve the website and spend our advertising budget sensibly.
If we send you news or marketing emails, every email will include a simple way to unsubscribe, and we will stop once you ask.
4. Filming, photography and the studio
Our work involves filming and photographing people, so your image or voice may be captured if you appear in a shoot, attend an event we cover or visit the studio during a production. Footage is used for the purpose agreed with our client. Under our Terms and Conditions, the client is responsible for getting consent from the people who appear on camera.
We may show finished work in our portfolio, on our website and on our social media channels. If you appear in something we have published and would like it reviewed, contact us and we will look at it with you and our client.
5. Cookies, analytics and advertising
Our website uses Google Analytics to measure how people use the site, and the Google Ads tag to measure whether our ads lead to enquiries. These tools use cookies and similar technology, and Google processes the data under its own privacy policy.
When you arrive from one of our ads, our site stores a note in your browser for up to 90 days recording which ad and page brought you here. If you then send us an enquiry, that note is added to your form so we know where the enquiry came from. If you submit a form after clicking one of our ads, your email address and phone number are scrambled (hashed) in your browser and shared with Google, so it can confirm the enquiry came from the ad. Google cannot read the original details from the hashed version.
You can turn off personalised ads in your Google Ad Settings, block or clear cookies in your browser, or install Google's opt-out add-on for Google Analytics. The website will still work if you do.
6. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only where we need to run the business, for example with the companies that host our website and forms (Webflow), our email, file storage and accounting tools, our video hosting (Vimeo), Google for analytics and advertising, and freelance crew working on your project. We may also disclose information when the law requires it.
7. Information stored overseas
Some of the services we use store data on servers outside Australia, mainly in the United States. We choose established providers and expect them to protect your information to a standard comparable to Australian law.
8. Keeping it secure
We store information in password protected systems that only our team can access, and we take reasonable steps to protect it from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. We keep business records for as long as the law requires, and we delete or de-identify information once we no longer need it.
9. Accessing or correcting your information
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it. Email info@inverseimaging.com.au and we will respond within 30 days. If we cannot give you access, we will explain why.
10. Questions and complaints
If you have a question or a concern about how we have handled your information, email info@inverseimaging.com.au, call us on 0406 474 867, or write to Inverse Imaging, 1/37 Davey Street, Moorooka QLD 4105. We will look into it and respond within 30 days.
If you are not happy with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time, for example when we start using a new tool. This policy was last updated on 20 October 2026.
