Summary

We've been across some big comedy rooms lately, including Matt Rife's Brisbane show. From the seats it looks simple. One performer, a packed audience, nothing to hide behind. That is exactly what makes it hard to shoot well.

The framing has to stay sharp, the timing has to feel natural, and the coverage needs to give the performer enough presence to fill the room without ever getting in the way of the show. Simple to watch. Very precise to capture.
