Same-Day Event Content for the Great Australasian Beer SpecTAPular (GABS)

KEY TAKEAWAYS

• An on-site edit suite at GABS on the Sunshine Coast meant social content went live while the festival was still running.
• Roaming crews sent footage straight to our editors, who turned it around within hours.
• After the event, we produced longer edits for specific sponsors and participants.

SUMMARY

SHOOT IT. EDIT IT. GET IT LIVE WHILE THE EVENT'S STILL HAPPENING

For GABS (the Great Australasian Beer SpecTAPular) the brief wasn't just to capture the event. The content needed to start working while it was still happening.

Our team set up a complete on-site edit suite at the Sunshine Coast, while roaming camera crews moved throughout the venue capturing the most authentic atmosphere, people, exhibitors and everything happening around them.

Footage came straight back to the edit team, where we turned it into short-form social content within hours of filming, ready to hit the ground running on GABS' own social channels, while the event was still fresh.

‍

CONTENT FOR NOW...AND LATER

The fast-turnaround stories were only one part of the production.

Alongside the live social coverage, we captured with the post-event content in mind, giving GABS more to work with once the doors had closed.

After the event, we produced longer, more tailored edits showcasing specific sponsors and participants, extending the value of the shoot beyond the event itself.

One production gave the team content for the immediate social conversation and a library of more considered assets to keep using afterwards.

‍

THE RESULT

Fast, social-first event coverage without waiting days for the first edit.

Roaming crews. On-site post-production. Content delivered within hours.

And before you ask...yes, this one was thirsty work.
